The Rice Pre-Dental Society is an undergraduate student-based organization dedicated to educating Rice students about the profession of dentistry and provide resources in support for those interested in pursuing dentistry. Not only will they be connected to a supportive community of pre-dental students, they will be provided with opportunities to shadow, build mentorship relationships with upperclassmen, dental students, and faculty, volunteer to give back to the community, and gain a greater appreciation for the field and prepare them for dental school. In addition, the Rice Pre-Dental Society will promote awareness among its members of important dates and time frames regarding the pre-dental student timeline such as when to start seeking summer opportunities, when to take the DAT, and when to begin considering dental school applications.
